For the last two weeks, I’ve been meditating on healing my bruised ribs. I’ve practiced diaphragmatic nasal breathing, consciously strengthening the diaphragm and intercostal muscles, increasing nitric oxide, and improving blood flow and oxygen delivery.

This isn’t just breathwork. It’s science. It’s self-directed healing.

Instead of feeling frustrated that I couldn’t train the way I normally do, I leaned in. I rested. I breathed. I visualized healing. I focused on:

Yesterday, I ran a few slow miles just to test.
Today, I ran 5.5 miles at my regular pace.

At nearly 55 years old, I feel like I’m in my 20s.
